ProTube for YouTube App Reviews

I have music on my accounts playlists that I like to play on this app because of the background feature. However it wont load these playlists because "its not in the correct format". I have no idea what this means. I paid 3.99 for this app and I was hoping it would be worth it.

Subscriptions tab needs to show all videos from all channels, not all videos from one channel! Otherwise seems to work great.

The comment section is too small too read, need related video section to the right of the video player, volume bar, watch later playlist

Good app I like it but the design is a bit amateurish. The thumbnail design is busy and the title/description font conflicts and blends into the background images. Its difficult to browse effectively. Please update with a clean more effective design.

3/5 times I get the SSL connection error on both wifi and LTE. Making me have to open the app and close it and continue. 5/5 Times the normal YouTube app works. No point on putting anything to the background if I have to constantly open the app to fix the SSL errors. This error has been around for the last 3 releases of app and still hasnt fixed.

For whatever reason, the official YouTube client on iOS doesnt offer the option to increase or slow down playback speed. I was faced with a lot tutorial videos I needed to watch and the idea of sitting through some guy reading through his PowerPoint slides word-for-word in real time was not pleasant. I did some searching around and found a Quora post that mentioned ProTube, so I bought it and tried it out. I wasnt able to find the speed up/slow down option that I purchased the app for in the first place, so I contacted the developer and he showed me what I needed to do to get it to work. I appreciate that because now I can get through this stuff I have to watch in double or triple time now.

Where are the playback controls? Tapping the video just pauses it.

"Subscription -> Videos" section doesnt work correctly. I can view only a few videos and all of them are very old.

After update, this app cant play live stream on iphone. I delete and download app many times. But remain unchanged. Ipad is no problem Working well I hope you fix a bug asap. iPhone SE. Ios 10.3.2

I like this app, its everything I wanted. You can use background play, login with your google account to link your sub box, and no ads. I especially love how you can make a video shrink to a box in the righthand corner as you scroll down or browse other videos. There is also the ability to set video quality for specific circumstances, like with either wifi or LTE. All in all, its a pretty solid app. However, I think there are a few bugs with the playlist, and I wish there was a volume slider. I also wish the comments section showed the commenters avatar, but thats just a personal want rather than a problem.

This app is really nice, but its a big shame the "Watch Later" playlist isnt available in it. If it were accessible, Id rate it five stars.

The UI is just completely awful. It is too unbearable to use the app unless you only use it to listen to music but other than that it is not a app to use regularly like YouTube.

The constantly crashes for no reason, doesnt save new playlists Ive made, and error messages keep popping up now when I click on a channel. Its been worse ever since the update.

Great app, rating 2 stars until the log in issue is fixed. Broken.

Besides the App dragging on slower than the stock app, it lacks basic options. It would be nice to automatically see related videos instead of being bombarded by the dreaded youtube comment section. The screen wide video tabs are unnecessary on a mobile device when screen real estate needs to be optimized. Looks pretty though. So I guess theres that?
