ProTube for YouTube App Reviews

Really wish there was a way to pause/play without having to press the tiny button in the bottom left. Also ever since a couple updates ago it takes an ungodly long amount of time to show your subscriptions. Every time I want to use this app I end up opening it then putting my phone down and doing something else while it loads. Everything else works pretty well and this app has way better functionality than the official YouTube app.

This is a great app for watching yt vids at different speeds. However, continuous playback from playlists is still broken in this update -- the same vid just plays over and over. Please fix asap!

UPDATE 6/21/17 new version released today 2.5.7 Chromecast bugs still persist, and still reloads the video every time you go to the app while casting UPDATE 6/20/17 Good news is that the old Chromecast bugs have been fixed, after being present for months Bad news is that theres now a new Chromecast bug: If you change to another app while casting, coming back to Protube causes the casted video to reload on your TV. This happens every time you come back to the app by the way, so the only way to have the casting work is to not leave the app at all once you start Real bummer, as this is otherwise an excellent app with great features! But if you rely on Chromecast support it is broken UPDATE 3/10/17 And Chromecast support doesnt work properly, again Once you initially connect it will work fine, but if you put the phone to sleep and come back, the app wont control the Chromecast any more Youll have to disconnect and then reconnect to reestablish control Shame as the app is perfect otherwise, but Chromecast support is the #1 reason I use the app, its unfortunate that it hasnt worked for a few months now

UPDATE - I love this app. It is so integral to my enjoyment of my iPad. I am glad to say that the developer updated the app and once again Protube is back to working. Thanks a ton. Love this app! I am on an older iPad 3 and the app has been working perfectly but today I tried running the app and it crashes to desktop. Reset iPad to no avail. Uninstalled and reinstalled app to no avail. No way to contact developer through app support link. Please fix this or at least revert the app to a previous working version. Will update review once fixed. Thank you.

Good work but for the love of all that is holy please add the ability to collapse user comments and KEEP them collapsed indefinitely. Help me out here...

When i try to listen to a playlist it keeps repeating the audio of the first song after it shuffles. So if i have a playlist with 100 songs and pick 1 song, then shuffle through it keeps playing the audio of the first song. App worked fine until today. The developer doesnt have any contact info so the only way to report this bug is through a review.

When attempting to view live streams in 2.5.7, error message "Cannot parse" is given. Is there any way to rollback to previous versions until this critical feature is fixed? 06/21/17

Login google account still crash in ios8.4

This app used to be great but every update makes it worse, not better. This latest update had brought me a looping bug where it will show that it has indexed to the next item in a playlist but the actual stream is the previous track and it will just loops forever. So the app will say playlist item one of 23, 2 of 23, 3 of 23 as it plays but the actual steam is always whatever th first track you selected it. If I start with 4 of 23 it will just replay that steam 19 times while the title and stuff changes. Lame. YouTube red with background playback is looking better and better even though it has a few. I just need stuff that actually works.

App crashes at Start on iPad 3!!!

Great update! 60 fps 1080p options actually work now.

I tried to open ProTube but when I touch the icon the screen shows the icon in the middle as if it was going to open but then it closes. Ive tried to uninstall then reinstall but so far the same thing happens. ProTube will no longer open for me. Please help - I paid for this App.

Like this app for its ability to change playing speed, background playing and only audio mode. Please add double tap to forward and back seek like in an original YouTube application, its very cool feature.

The latest update 2.5.6 does not allow to play videos from a chosen playlist randomly or one after another anymore. It always comes back to the first video in the list. Tested on several devices (iPhone and iPads.) Please fix it ASAP! Thanks.

Subscription section dont work. App shows text "no videos"...

After update on ios 9.3.5 the app crashes every time I hope they fix it soon
