Was working, but now it crashed, wont open at all, just force close

I am on an older iPad 3 and the app has been working perfectly but today I tried running the app and it crashes to desktop. Reset iPad to no avail. Uninstalled and reinstalled app to no avail. No way to contact developer through app support link. Please fix this or at least revert the app to a previous working version. Will update review once fixed. Thank you.

ProTube used to be able to minimize videos to PIP so they could be seen while outside of the app. With this update, this feature is gone without previous notice. What happened?

144p video - The request timed out error!! Fix this! Nobody fixes this for months already

I love this app. Been using it for 5 years now since i downloaded it first on the cydia store and now finally on my non-jailbroken phone. Everything works amazingly well especially no ads like the crappy youtube app and the ability to forward videos via text or email which the P.O.S youtube app lacks. The reason i gave it 4 stars is hidden in the categories view. Every single category works except for the last one, "News and Politics" which when clicked on displays "No Results". I refresh and reload it several times and still the same. Ofcourse i watch a lot of entertainment videos on Protube but for News, i have to switch over to youtube app which i dont like to do. I had sent a support email last year through the app itself but nothing got fixed and i was forced to write a four star review which also i dont like to do. My reviews are mostly 5 stars or i do not write one, but if this is the only way i can get the developer to make changes and updates then so be it.

Oh well guess well have to wait another year for another attempt to fix it

UPDATE 6/20/17 Good news is that the old Chromecast bugs have been fixed, after being present for months Bad news is that theres now a new Chromecast bug: If you change to another app while casting, coming back to Protube causes the casted video to reload on your TV. This happens every time you come back to the app by the way, so the only way to have the casting work is to not leave the app at all once you start Real bummer, as this is otherwise an excellent app with great features! But if you rely on Chromecast support it is broken UPDATE 3/10/17 And Chromecast support doesnt work properly, again Once you initially connect it will work fine, but if you put the phone to sleep and come back, the app wont control the Chromecast any more Youll have to disconnect and then reconnect to reestablish control Shame as the app is perfect otherwise, but Chromecast support is the #1 reason I use the app, its unfortunate that it hasnt worked for a few months now

When I tap on the video when Im watching the video, the video pauses and then plays and then shows the bottom bar. This big needs to be fixed ASAP.

Subscription section dont work. App shows text "no videos".

Only feature its missing I like from the YouTube app is tap to scrub. Otherwise it gives you background playback for 1/3 the cost of 1 month of YouTube Red. Great job!

With the latest update for the ProTube App it doesnt seem to load correctly even and it crashes too much...FIX IT!

I updated the app and it keeps crashing when I see the Protube logo.

Everything about this is great, but there a few glaring omissions. First and most obvious, is the ability to upload videos from the device itself. The official YT app supports it, so why not this one? Another missing feature is the ability to reply to video comments. Currently, there is no way at all to do so. Lastly, is the ability to check check for, read, and reply to, personal messages. UPDATE: This latest update, as of Jan. 15, has completely broken the app. Crashes right after the splash screen. iPhone 6+, iOS 8.4. UPDATE 2: Jan. 4, 2017, iPhone 6+, iOS 9.3.3, jailbroken. Since my last update (from almost a year ago), comment replies have been added and its a great addition. Still wish there was a way to read and send PMs as well as any other notifications one might receive. Another issue thats been around since the past two app updates or so, is that live broadcasts are completely broken. When one tries to play a live feed, a frame of the video appears with the animated loading icon, but thats it; it never actually loads and plays the feed. UPDATE 3: June 20, 2017 iPhone 6+, iOS 9.3.3 Latest updated has broken the app; crashes on startup every time.

My subscriptions still only load one days worth of videos.

this app is just what i needed. no annoying ads and background play ability. hallelujah! well worth the money - first app i bought in a while.

This app has only improved since its launch and it is ALMOST perfect. The one feature the first party YouTube app has over this is auto play. If the developer can implement autoplay, it will be the perfect alternative. Edit: Please improve app load times! This app loads 2-3x slower than the native YouTube app on launch and with loading videos. It drives me nuts.

So. This app plays videos fast and doesnt have buffering problems that I seem to encounter all the time on the official YouTube app. I also like being able to play videos sped up. I also love being able to listen to audio from YouTube with the screen turned off. Some other users have mentioned they get an error and the app states "try alternative player". Ive had that happen to me one video. But it hasnt happened again (Ive been using the app heavily for about a month). One weird thing I havent seen noticed is some of my subscriptions dont show up. If I log into YouTube via the web. Theres a new video from a particular channel. In the app its not there. But I verify in app that I am indeed subscribed to the channel. And when I manually browse the channel, the new video is there. Strange. Other than that. Works as advertised. No ads. Audio with the screen off. Being able to select all quality types. And variable speed are the features I really like.

Great app with no ads. Oh this developer and never worry about YouTube Red. Highly recommend.

Dont get me wrong, its nice having no ads, however, basic youtube app at least allows you conveniently rewind your video. To be honest Id prefer watching an add than having to swipe my finger
