ProTube for YouTube App Reviews

I got this purely for no ads but now in one fell swoop my subscriptions are being pulled off the device because of youtube. I wish I could have my $5 back.

Live it BUT the same videos on the same connection load in youtube app are TORTOISE loading time on this app

This is a fantastic app. It offers many great features that Googles YouTube player lacks, such as continuing to play audio when you jump out of the app, great picture-in-picture support, and 4K video. I would love to see a version of Protube for the Apple TV (totally willing to purchase it as well). Edit: Not the apps fault, but 4K no longer seems to be available. I am seeing 1440p max.

Incorrect format error is so annoying. Dont waste your money till they fix it. Edit. Fixed the issue. I wish it has repeat feature.

Need feature like Double Tap to fast-forward and small video thumbnail in home screen

Love this App worth 6.99 that I paid to get it. No ads, Pop out Videos. Mini video Player dont even need the app open to watch YouTube now thanks a lot for making this App its awesome??

Ad blocking, background playing/screen-off playback, and allowable altering of the video quality are major wins for me. It was well worth the money for this app.

This app is great in most aspects, the only two things I dont like are the design (layout is too dense, with big thumbnails and no easy way to make out text on them) and the 3D Touch implementation to play/pause a video (doesnt work well, or reliably and ends up degrading the experience on iPhone).

Works really well for me on an iPhone 6+. I bought it strictly for no ads but am pleasantly surprised of the apps layout and functionality. The only addition I would love to see is the double tap to move forward 5 or 10 seconds like the Youtube app. That would be a very nice feature. Huge thanks to the developer for this app.

I bought this app due to the good reviews, but it was broken. And stayed broken for about 30 full days due to a YouTube API change and no update from this app author. I emailed a question to the official email address listed for support questions and still am waiting three weeks now for a response. I dont think itll come. Downgrading my rating further for now. The app is fixed now, but I still use the official YouTube app 75% of the time or more. And sadly, there isnt any "double tap" gesture to scroll forward or backwards in tiny increments in a video unlike the official YouTube app. You have to use the misclick-prone duration slider instead.

I love this app. It has no ads whatsoever and lets you change your quality of videos over data so you dont have to waste your data usage. Works perfectly, its refreshing to see another successor to Tubex. One thing I think should be added is the ability to download videos so you can watch them offline. I mean, why not if ads are already gone?

It would make the app a killerapp of the store.

This app would be great if it werent for one small feature that bugs me so badly. Every time I tap the screen when watching a video it pauses it rather than bringing up the HUD options which means I have to click it, accidentally pause it, click the screen like five times to reset it then replay video every time I want to search for another video while the current one plays in background or just check the time or how long the video has left. Its SUPER annoying. Please fix it

Has issues with loading all subscriptions in the feed, but thats probably a Youtube issue, not the app. PLEASE ADD A SLEEP TIMER FOR PLAYLISTS AND VIDEOS.

The app works completely as it is advertised and I never run into any problems on the app-side. YouTube likes to change things without announcement, but that gets fixed really quickly every time. Great app, especially the background playing feature, would not want to miss it.
