**edit** fixed!! now five stars, nearly perfect app **** "The data couldnt be read because it isnt in the correct format" is all Ive been seeing for the past few days. Once this is fixed, the app is absolutely perfect, 5 stars. Could use a volume slider though.

I bought this app due to the good reviews, but it was broken. And stayed broken for about 30 full days due to a YouTube API change and no update from this app author.

Thank you for fixing the subscriptions bug!

Newest update causes the app to claim it is not verified legit and refuses to work.

Start casting a video and if you switch to another app and then come back to Protube, the video reloads on the TV every single time Great app otherwise but unusable if you need Chromecast support, as it simply doesnt work properly Have contacted the developer numerous times to no avail, and Chromecast bugs have plagued the app for almost 2 years now

After trying several free YouTube apps (all unsatisfactory due to ads) as well as a couple of pay ones, Ive settled on ProTube. Its ease of use, stability, and intuitive interface make it the best choice Ive found.

Best YouTube app. Please do not punish the developer with bad reviews when YouTubes APIs break or change. Its a fact of life that he will need to react to YouTubes decisions, and he always does so quickly.

Really do appreciate how quick the developers response was to the recent bug. Ive been using this app since late 2014 and have loved it ever since. ProTube is an amazing—arguably better—alternative.

Constantly crashes and doesnt even have US trending info. Why?

Slick UI and a great alternative to YouTube app. Dev needs to update his App Support link in the App Store though. It is a dead link and gives the impression he doesnt care about user issues. I also believe its is a violation of App Store policies.

This app works so well to the point where it feels more like an official YouTube than the actual official YouTube app. Worth every cent. Edit: July 26th 2017; The developer just released a fix for a major issue with YouTubes own API. Whereas many other developers would tell their customers to wait till YouTube fixes the bug on their end, this developer instead found a prompt workaround for his customers. It is clear that his customers are his number one priority.

Ive been using this app for about 4 years I wanna say. Maybe 3. Regardless, its been a really long time. I cant live without this app. YouTube Red doesnt exist in Canada so I cant even get ad free / background playback if I wanted to. I paid for ProTube the day I started using it and I would say this app is worth $20 given I use it everyday and rely in it. It has some bugs and quirks, its kinda handicapped by the YouTube API. This is a core app to my iOS experience as a person who commutes to work for over an hour on public transit and consumes so much video on their iPad. If this app stopped working, kinda like the scare with the API this week Id be very sad. I still used the app by coping URLs into it. Itd faster to find videos in the YouTube app and open in ProTube than waiting for a 30 second ad. I want to pay for YouTube Red but I cant.
