The app is too unpredictable for something that you have to pay for. Theres constantly new bugs coming up. I love the app itself, but with how many bugs it gets and how many problems keep coming up, it doesnt seem worth the money you have to pay for it.

No other app even compares to this one. This app has it all, and it is well worth the price. Definitely 5 stars for this one. Only recommendation would be to add the support of live videos to the app.

Cant watch anything please fix :(

Very active developper that fixes issues rapidly. The app is beautiful, practical & awesome. The function to play only audio instead of video and the ability to play in background is a must have !

Thank you for updating the app with the workaround for the YouTube API bug. This is the best YouTube app I have found. It has many more features than others - including background play, which is key. The user interface is top notch as well. I use this app everyday. Highly recommended.

Subscriptions menu is still empty (no videos in list)...

Like other recent comments, I cant view any of my subscriptions or playlists. This error message keeps showing: "the data couldnt be read because it isnt in the right format". I sent in a help ticket a couple days ago and have yet to hear anything back. I hope they update and fix the app soon because it was great before this bug. *Edit: new update fixed the bug, and I understand now that the issue was from youtubes side. So happy they fixed it quickly after our feedback, and this app is back to being great again! Totally recommend!

Great app if u use YouTube a lot.

First of all, I just want to say that this is hands-down the best YouTube app you can get on the appstore. It has all the features you could ever need; the ability to listen to music/videos in the background, 60 fps videos, 4k videos, playlists, you name it. This new update fixed the subscriptions and recommended tabs in only 3-4 days since the problem with videos not being listed started occurring. The last update got a lot of hate because of this bug but now that its fixed in only a couple of days, the app is restored to all its greatness.

Great for all kinds of listening. I take in entire symphonies, long interviews, and workout mixes without having to leave the screen on and burn down the battery. The developer responds quickly to YouTube updates that necessitate an update in the ProTube coding, usually so fast that I dont even notice (I read about it later on Reddit, after its already fixed). Filtering out ads is nice, too. I use this app multiple times per day. It has been my go-to YouTube app for 2+ years and I greatly prefer it to the desktop version; I use it even when Im sitting at my computer. Highly, highly recommended. Makes my iPhone a better phone.

Honestly probably one of the best purchases Ive done in all my years in the AppStore. Background music for workouts and no ads give me a pure video experience. The interface takes a little getting used to, but it is totally worth the effort.

My subscriptions are still out of order. Not in alphabetical order. For about a year now the subscriptions have been that way. Thank you for working vigilantly to fixing that wrong format bug! It would be nice to see the subs in order still

Now theres more bugs saying "Too many requests performed. Try again later." This app shouldnt have to be paid for if theres a new bug every week.

YouTube broke something but the developer got right on it and fixed the issue. Love the app and Im really happy to see that the dev cares about fixing issues quickly.
